South Africa’s catwalk opened to showcase many diverse designers who put sustainability and green fashion at the front of their collections.
Spanning over three days, the catwalk at Mall of Africa was strutted on from 18-20 April. There were flashings lights, camera shutters going at the speed of light, and audible ooh’s and aah’s from the audience for every collection.
Fashion is a visual element, and no amount of adjectives can truly describe what was seen on the catwalk the past weekend. There was black, white, yellow, red, blue, pink, beige, and striped clothing. There were heels of all heights, flats of all designs, and suit shoes of all kinds. There were funky hats and bulky bags, accessories up the ying-yang, and make-up none of us could replicate even if we tried.
It was spectacular, but here is the evidence to prove it.
